Mello & Hotchkiss Real Estate is a successful long-time real estate firm based in Fairhaven, MA. Mello & Hotchkiss contacted The Blue Ocean with a request common to established businesses like theirs. They sought to update their business identity to a more contemporary look, as well as to build an attractive and functional website to allow them to advertise and market their real estate listings online. The Blue Ocean delivered on both fronts.
The Blue Ocean provided Mello & Hotchkiss with completely new brand identity, inclusive of a new logo, stationery, business cards, and new “For Sale” property signage. With the rebranding complete, we created print advertising templates that incorporated the new branding for use in real estate magazines and newspaper print ads.
The Blue Ocean also developed a new website complete with a custom-built, PHP-based content management system (CMS). This CMS tool allows the Mello & Hotchkiss staff to easily add, delete, and edit listing copy and photographs of their properties without any knowledge of HTML. The result is a site that provides an elegant online presentation of homes, local information for potential home buyers, and an extremely intuitive, user-friendly back end interface for the staff at Mello & Hotchkiss to keep their online presence current.
