When new owners purchased the historic Nathaniel Porter Inn in Warren, Rhode Island, they had a vision for contemporizing the restaurant’s approach to fine dining while simultaneously honoring the establishment’s centuries of heritage.
The Blue Ocean understood our clients’ vision, and provided design and communications assistance to them as they created the new “Nat Porter” brand. The Blue Ocean delivered logo mockups, designed printed menu sheets, business cards, and related print collateral. Our creative director also contributed several abstract fine art photographs to decorate the walls of the new restaurant.
The Nat Porter also needed an impactful website, and we built one that integrated new artwork with existing photography and artwork that the client provided. At the owner’s request, The Blue Ocean delivered a flash-based website that featured interactive food menus, video reviews, and a gallery of their restaurant photography. The owners were able to maintain an area of their site that listed menu specials, featured music acts, or art presentations.
In 2007, the owners of the Nat Porter sold the restaurant to new management, and the website is no longer active. For historical purposes, The Blue Ocean provides a cached copy of the Nat Porter’s 2005 site .
