The Healing House
For more than 25 years, internationally acclaimed artist and New York Times best selling author Stephen Huneck has captivated the hearts and imaginations of animal lovers everywhere. Huneck is best known for his woodcut prints of dogs, and for writing the Sally series of children’s books, which chronicle the adventures of his own beloved Labrador Retriever.
When the Stephen Huneck Gallery wanted to expand web-based interaction with their fans, collectors, and prospects they looked to The Blue Ocean. We were contracted as the Gallery’s overall communications consultants, focusing on such areas as media relations, online and offline marketing strategies, and social media.
We established several new avenues of online communication for the Gallery. New presences on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as a visually engaging, well-organized newsletter redesign, helped to create an online community among Huneck art lovers around the world. Knowing that metrics are just as important as design to the success of online marketing efforts, we provided the Huneck Gallery with a more capable newsletter distribution service, which gives them better tools to monitor the effectiveness of their online campaigns, and installed Google Analytics tracking on all of their websites.
The Blue Ocean also partnered with the Huneck Gallery to develop an online presence for the Lend A Helping Hand campaign, a philanthropic effort to benefit animal welfare charities, and for the Huneck-designed “Healing House,” located on the artist’s mountaintop farm in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
